Just in time for summer vacation!
What better way for children and students to record their treasured
memories than with a Teddy Bear On The Go and a journal to record those
special moments together. Take your teddy bear where ever you go, and
record those special moments in the teddy bear’s journal.
Grandparents and grandkids can share their special times and write about
adventures in a journal. At the end of the summer, the journal can then be
embellished with photos and memorabilia and later given as a gift for
Christmas.
To get you started, the teddy bears and their friends have just completed
the Basic Guide, which is now available at The Teddy Bear Store.
Here is a picture of the Manuals and Guides that the teddy bears and friends
are currently working on:
The Teddy Bears and their friends continue to work hard on creating a
Grandparent’s Guide, Quick Start Guide and the Deluxe Manual for
Homeschooling and Educators. These links will take you to the Teddy Bear
Store, so please remember to select Teddy Bear Toolkit link from the menu
bar on the left.
Due to the shift in focus to the completing the Grandparents Guide as a priority, the official launch date for the Deluxe Manual, containing detailed lesson plans, expectations and a focus on Language is December, 2008!
The Teddy Bear Store continues to offer teddy bears, teddy bear clothing,
teddy bear traveling totes, Teddy Bears On The Go mousepads, hasti-notes,
notepads, and knapsack teddy bear clips.
Classroom sets of traveling teddy bears have trotted around the
globe for over 5 years. They continue to send their friends out to
journey far and wide and bring back information so that they can
update this website and keep you, our visitors, informed and up-to
-date with their activities and whereabouts.
Two such teddy bear travelers are Mitch, and Maas, our newest addition to
the traveling teddy bear family! Mitch just recently arrived home from his
travels to India (February 2008), while Maas spent about 12 days traveling in Greece (March 2008).
While traveling with parents, teachers, friends, family, officials,
grandparents and their student friends, the teddy bears on this site
provided educational experiences, both in and out of the classroom
for their student owners. They traveled to 7 continents, had their
pictures taken at the Arctic Circle, and played with monkeys in Africa.
Their trips to Hawaii saw them venture near volcanoes and the
journeys “down under” helped them to make friends with the
kangaroos.
The bears met students from Cuba, New Zealand, Calgary, Alberta
and Holland. They had their photographs taken where ever they
went, and were always glad to be home with their student owners at
the end of a wonderful traveling school year.
