HSBC Triathlon - Gravenhurst, ON - July 19, 2009

Tatum had another great time at the HSBC Triathlon again this year in Gravenhurst, ON, as he watched Ruth-Anne swim 750m (some say that distance was LONGER than 750m); ride her bike 20km (well, he was there at the beginning and the end of the ride); and was there to witness her successful finish.  Tatum was so proud of her!  She cut 20 minutes off last year's Gravenhurst time. Wow, RA!

The larger boat, the Wenonah (right), is one of the boats that the swimmers use to be taken to where they will be dropped off to start their 750m swim.  Ruth-Anne says, "Most people take these boats to go on a Muskoka cruise, but I take this boat to jump out of it!" Tatum thinks that Ruth-Anne has such a funny sense of humour.

Tim Hortons Grimsby Halton Marathon and 5K Run

Tatum was once again wowed by all the people running at the most recent Tim Hortons Grimsby Halton Marathon and 5K Run.  He traveled to Grimsby to watch Ruth-Anne as she ran 5K in the snow.  The weather was mild and one 5K runner had shorts on.

During Tatum's most recent walk down by Barrie's Waterfront, he came across some ice sculptures that had dragons, a king's throne, knights in shining armour and Romeo offering flowers to Juliet.

Down By The Bay - Tatum and His Travels

Tatum, the traveling teddy bear, walks regularly down by the bay.  This teddy bear weathers the cold, winter storms, sub-zero temperatures, chilly autumn and hot summer mornings so that he can share his pictures with you from, Down By The Bay. 

Tatum, the traveling teddy bear, loves the early morning walks.  But, he especially loves his social coffee time after the walk, where he meets all his friends for a wee chat before he and his owner have to leave for work.

Women's Only Triathlon Success 

Well, Tatum has enjoyed another successful trip to the most recent women's only triathlon held in Milton, August 31, 2008! This was the second triathlon that Tatum attended and he had so much fun.  He liked it so much that he helped Ruth-Anne get ready for her event, just like last time.  He suggested to her that she check out her bike before she started the race.  That was such an awesome idea, because it turned out that the air pressure in her tires was almost nothing!

The teddy bears and I have been working hard over the last number of months to:

• create a series of guides/manuals that give information on how to best make your Teddy Bear On The Go interactive, fun, engaging and exciting for kids, grandparents, teachers, homeschoolers and parents;
• consult on a website re-launch; and
• attend events to spread the word about Traveling Teddy Bears.
